Bodeket tahara is a woman who is trained in both the halachah and medical fields, and is experienced in doing an internal examination.  A Rav will sometimes direct a woman to a bodeket tahara in order to get the information he needs to pasken a shaila.  The bodeket will write a synopsis on what she saw and you then bring that letter to the Rav.  One should only see a bodeket under the guidance of the Rav.
